Through Egnatia Odos Thessaloniki approaches to the west the port of Igoumenitsa and to the east the village Kipoi near the borders between Turkey and Greece. What is more the various vertical axis of Egnatia Odos connect Thessaloniki with the Balkan countries and Europe.
Intercity bus station (KTEL): Buses for the prefecture of Thessaloniki, most regions of Greece, the islands of Corfu, Zakynthos and Crete depart from “Macedonia” Intercity Bus Station in 224 Giannitson St. (5km west of Thessaloniki city center), Tel. 2310 595.400, site: www.ktelmakedonia.gr
Passenger Railway Station: 28 Monastiriou St., information for domestic and international train services. From the train station in Thessaloniki there are regular departures of OASTH buses for the city center (3,10,11, 14). Tel:14511, site: www.ose.gr
Thessaloniki International Airport “Macedonia”: It is located in Mikra, approximately 15klm from the city center (Tel. 2310985.000). It is connected to the railway station and the KTEL (intercity bus station) by the bus line 78 (night) and with the bus stop A.S. IKEA by the bus line 79. The regular fare is 2 euro and the discounted is 1 euro.
